DRS Technologies Contract

Award for $1.4 Million

Lebanon, Missouri, March 10, 2009 — Detroit Tool Metal Products (DTMP) today announced that it has been awarded a $1.4 Million contract from DRS Technologies in West Plains, Missouri.

DTMP was awarded the contract for a series of weldments that go into the M989A1 Heavy Expanded Mobility Ammunition Trailer frames. They also were awarded additional multiple weldments and other fabrications. All parts will be manufactured at DTMP facilities in Lebanon, Missouri and Ft. Madison, Iowa.

“We are just getting into the defense business,” said DTMP Vice President, Tim Megge, “so these wins mean a great deal to us. We are looking forward to expanding our relationship with DRS Technologies.”

DTMP was awarded the twelve month contract on a competitive basis. DTMP is known for outstanding quality and for the technical ability to do stamping, fabrication, precision welding and assembly. It has capabilities that include multiple lasers, robotic welders press brakes, large and small press capacity, and a large range of bed sizes.

DTMP prides itself in being able to offer early stage product design and prototype parts. DTMP personnel can also evaluate design changes to existing products.

According to Megge, DTMP is seeking to grow its business in the defense arena. “We think we can do well in the defense industry,” he said. “We have capabilities that are well suited for most defense contractors and we are actively seeking additional opportunities.”
