Vice President of
Operations - at Lebanon, MO Location
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide leadership to department managers of
production, quality and inventory control and purchasing by giving direction on
the procedures and systems to be used that will ensure the company is operating
in the most cost effective manner possible. This position is accountable
for the operating results of these departments with performance being measured
against company and corporate goals and objectives.
KEY PARTS OF
POSITION:
(1)
Manage the manufacturing activities to meet customer requirements for
quality,
quantity and delivery.
(2) Monitor production scheduling activities to ensure delivery dates
are met.
(3) Assist with the implementation of Vantage operating system.
(4) Evaluate current capital assets and make recommendation, when
necessary,
to replace or rebuild.
(5) Develop strategic goals for Managers of Production, Facilities,
Quality,
Inventory Control and
Purchasing.
(6) Monitor departmental progress toward goals and objectives.
(7) Directs the physical year planning and budgeting.
(8) Coordinates technical interfacing between customers and DTMP
department
managers.
(9) Coordinates activities between Sales Department and production on
new parts
or operational problems.
(10) Has Operations responsibility for the Fort Madison, Iowa facility.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:
(1) Degree in Engineering,
Business or equivalent experience.
(2) 7 + years of Stamping
and Fabrication experience.
(3) Knowledge of metalforming
essential.
(4) Management experience in
Manufacturing, Inventory Control and Materials related
to stamping.
(5) Customer inface at
management level.
(6) Demonstrated understanding
of computerized production information system.
(7) Prior managerial
experience.

Sales Engineer - at Fort
Madison, Iowa Location
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for leading the sales effort on a
national basis. Develop new markets and products that result in contracts
for fabrication, weldments and subassemblies. This position is located
at the company's Fort Madison, Iowa facility.
KEY PARTS OF
POSITION:
(1)
Develop plan for increasing sales in territory or industries assigned,
using available resources and
networks.
(2)
Identify and evaluate potential customers in territory or
industries assigned for compatibility with our
manufacturing capabilities and potential
profitability.
(3)
Interview potential customers by phone to introduce company’s
services and evaluate potential business.
(4)
Travel territory to meet potential customers, gain insight to
opportunities and evaluate needs against
capabilities.
(5)
Evaluate Request for Quote against sales plan, business parameters and
our capabilities. Submit requests
to Estimating. Confer with Engineering and
Operations staff to determine desirability of certain requests.
(6)
Review final estimates for adequacy based on customer expectation.
(7) Report on sales calls and estimate potential of resultant
business and compiling weekly status up dates.
(8)
Monitor the Customer’s manufacturing schedule as contract progresses
and alert Operations to any
expected changes.
(9)
Quote spot estimates for Customers who require a ballpark figure to
further consideration.
(10) Respond to Customer questions regarding the technical capabilities of
our manufacturing facilities and
quality assurance programs.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Interface with Customers
during manufacturing problems to seek acceptable resolution.
(2) Submit reports, including
expense reports, itineraries and quote logs.

Press Brake Operator - at Lebanon, MO Location
3rd shift
Press Brake Operator. The Pressbrake
Operator
sets up and operates pressbrake
equipment. Using
micrometers, calipers and protractors, the operator sets up dies and
inspects parts. The operator uses part prints
and shop math to figure important
measurements for the parts being made.
The
Operator
uses Hurco autobend gauging
equipment as needed to do set-ups.
The Operator
also uses radius gauges when needed
to inspect parts.
The Pressbrake
Operator
must be able to physically place parts and items which weigh
up to 50 pounds each and push bins of parts which weigh up to 200 pounds.
The
Operator
must be able to wear personal protective equipment including hearing protection,
safety
glasses, safety shoes and safety gloves. This
work is performed standing with much
bending, reaching, lifting, and pushing required.
Preferred candidates would have the following:
(1) Experience working in a metal shop manufacturing setting, 1 year
desired.
(2) Ability to use measuring and gauging tools such as
micrometer, caliper and
radius
gauges for production parts
inspection.
(3) Math and print reading skills
sufficient to set up production presses.
(4) Ability to work as a member of a
production team.
